Water from the Sea

Tour of Sydney's newly commissioned desalination plant at Kurnell followed by the Sydney Cricket Ground and the Sydney Football Stadium.
Lunch will be available at the Sydney Cricket Ground and is included in the tour cost.
The tour will leave from outside the Harbourside Shopping Complex, next door to the Sydney Convention Centre at 0900.
Please be waiting outside the Centre at 0855.
The tour will return to the Harbourside Shopping Complex by 1400

TOUR 2.
Irrrigation in the City
0900 - 1230
Tour Leader - Bhakti Devi, City of Sydney Council
A walking tour in the City of Sydney will focus on the issues and challenges of urban irrigation.
This includes managing public openspace which has high usage and high public scrutiny. The tour will cover a number of landmarks within the city.
Lunch will be provided at the end of the tour.
The tour will leave from outside the Convention Centre.
Please be waiting outside at 8.55am
The tour will return to the Convention Centre at 1pm

TOUR 3.
Irrigation on the Edge
0900 - 1500
Tour Leader - Matthew Wilson
The challenges of irrigation in peri- urban areas using alternative water sources.
This tour will showcase a sewer mining project and a medium scale stormwater harvest system for urban irrigation.
First stop will be Pennant Hills Golf Club were the course is being irrigated using water recovered from sewer mining. At North Sydney an example of stormwater harvesting from a single source to irrigate multiple public open and sports field applications will be visited.
Lunch will be served at Cammeray Golf Club The tour will leave from outside the Harbourside Shopping Complex, next door to the Sydney Convention Centre at 0900.
