Abstracts received will be assessed by a sub-group of the Program Committee to determine the suitability for oral or poster presentations.
Abstracts for oral presentations will be selected on the following basis:
· Address the conference aims and session themes
· Be relevant to a wide audience
· Focus on new insights or learnings applicable to others if a practice or policy paper
· Focus on new data, interpretation and significance if a research paper
Concurrent sessions will aim to build a coherent theme with a balance between research and practice.
Abstracts for poster presentations will be selected on the following basis:
· Those who self-nominated for a poster presentation
· Topics which are broadly relevant to irrigation and water management but not directly aligned to the conference session themes
· Projects and research in the early stages, ie where the focus is on updating delegates on what you are planning, or in the early stages of doing
· Projects or research with a narrow focus
Please note the poster presentation sessions will be active sessions with specific topic tours led by a guide. Poster authors will be expected to briefly outline the key points of the poster to stimulate questions and discussions from the audience. This will be a great opportunity to get feedback on a project you have recently commenced, or on early results from a research project.
